Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

There are no restrictions by nationality or country of ordinary residence.
Clarendon scholars come from across the world: from the USA to Australia, Venezuela to Vietnam and from Norway to Nigeria.
Applicants must apply for a full-time or part-time master’s or doctoral (DPhil) program at the University of Oxford.
Current students who will continue to study for the same degree at Oxford in the next year are not eligible for this scholarship.
Candidates must demonstrate outstanding academic merit and potential (usually a first-class or strong upper-second-class degree, or equivalent).
Applicants must submit their course application by the December or January deadline for their chosen program (depending on the course).
There is no separate application for the Clarendon Scholarship. All eligible applicants are automatically considered.
