The Erasmus Mundus CLMCE Scholarship is a prestigious fully-funded program offering an International Master in Children’s Literature, Media and Cultural Entrepreneurship. This innovative 24-month Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme is offered by a consortium of leading universities across the UK, France, Denmark, Netherlands, and Poland. The programme is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programme, which provides funding to award up to 90 scholarships over 4 editions (2024-2029). The CLMCE programme provides talented graduates from literature, media, education, and related fields with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the expanding intersection of literature studies, media studies, childhood studies, and education within an international perspective.
The Erasmus Mundus programme was established by the European Union in 2004 to enhance quality in European higher education and promote intercultural understanding through cooperation with non-EU countries. As part of the broader Erasmus+ programme (2021-2027), Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters provide prestigious international study opportunities where students study in at least two different European countries, earning a joint, double, or multiple degree. The programme aims to attract talented students worldwide, foster academic excellence, and create global networks of highly qualified graduates who contribute to sustainable development and innovation in their fields.

Selection Criteria
The CLMCE Consortium selection process consists of two stages. In the first stage, all applications undergo an eligibility check covering application deadlines, file completeness, and Erasmus Mundus eligibility criteria, followed by an evaluation of academic excellence including academic background, awards, grants, and outstanding study results to identify highly qualified applicants. In the second stage, the Academic Scholarship Selection Committee ranks these qualified applicants based on their personal statement and motivation, academic excellence and study results, English language proficiency, relevant research or professional experience and interests in children’s literature and media, and the quality of their reference letters. The final selection produces an absolute ranking list with both main and reserve list candidates.
