Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Undertake study in a country where Rotary clubs exist
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or have completed at least two years of college-level coursework (for Master’s program)
  • Demonstrate excellent academic performance with strong grades throughout previous studies
  • Show genuine commitment to international humanitarian service and cross-cultural understanding
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction (Portuguese or English, depending on the program)
  • Be outgoing, articulate, and able to adapt to other cultures
  • Show willingness to serve as an ambassador of goodwill to Portugal
  • Not be a Rotarian, Honorary Rotarian, employee of Rotary, or direct relative of a Rotarian
