Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this grant, applicants must:
- Have a completed doctorate (Ph.D.) or equivalent degree in medicine (e.g., Staatsexamen)
- Have defended their Ph.D. within four years before the submission deadline
- Have at least 12 months of postdoctoral research experience
- Be either Swiss nationals or international candidates
- For candidates with medical qualifications:
- Have a minimum of three years of clinical experience post-degree
- FMH specialist certification is beneficial
- Eligibility extends up to nine years after completing medical exams
- Demonstrate strong research potential and ability to lead independent research
- Have a host institution in Switzerland willing to support the project
