This scholarship provides comprehensive support including:
- Monthly scholarship grant of €1,300
- Monthly Mobility Subsidy of €300 (only for Full PhD Grant holders)
- Accommodation assistance through OeAD student housing (dormitory or apartment options available)
- Health insurance guidance with OeAD assistance in obtaining Austrian-accepted health insurance
- Travel cost subsidy of up to €1,200 for scholarship holders from eligible developing countries upon submission of original travel invoices

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam
- Not have lived, studied, pursued research, or pursued academic work in Austria in the last six months before taking up the grant
- Not have completed academic education mainly in Austria (does not apply to Postdoc applicants)
- Not be permanently residing in Austria
- Be an Undergraduate or Graduate in the field of music practice including instrumental and vocal performance, composition, and conducting (for Music Practice Grant)
- Maximum age: 35 years at the time of application
- Be a Postgraduate who seeks to complete a full doctorate/PhD programme in Austria
- Fulfill the requirements for admission to an Austrian higher education institution
- Have completed studies at a higher education institution outside Austria
- Maximum age: 35 years at the time of application
- Be a Postdoc involved in teaching and research at an ASEA-UNINET member university in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam
- Maximum age: 45 years at the time of application
- Have very good knowledge of English and/or German
- Be affiliated with an ASEA-UNINET member university
- Comply with admission regulations of the respective Austrian Higher Education Institution

Selection Criteria
The selection process is competitive and based on a multistage evaluation procedure. For Music Practice applications, the process involves examination of formal requirements, assessment based on mandatory auditions, and final decision by the Federal Ministry of Women, Science and Research (BMFWF). For Full PhD and Postdoc applications, the evaluation includes examination of formal requirements, examination of applications’ general plausibility, thorough examination and evaluation by ASEA-UNINET experts, assessment based on personal face-to-face interviews conducted by ASEA-UNINET experts considering language skills, quality of the Research Proposal, and relevance of the project, and final decision by the BMFWF.
