The 2026 Aziz Foundation Masters Scholarships aims to support British Muslims in pursuing postgraduate education at leading UK universities. Offering 100% tuition fee coverage, the scholarships are aimed at emerging leaders who wish to advance their careers and bring positive change to their communities and beyond. The programme focuses on two key pillars: effective advocacy and enhancing public perception of British Muslims in civil society, and community service and social development within British Muslim communities.

The Aziz Foundation is a UK registered charity (Charity Number 1169558) dedicated to empowering British Muslims through education and opportunity. The Foundation operates a network of Preferred Partner universities across the UK and works to support individuals who demonstrate strong community commitment, financial need, and the ambition to become leaders in their chosen fields. Scholarships are funded as Zakat, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to equitable access to higher education.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

  • Must qualify for Home Fees status in the UK. Applications from international students will not be considered.
  • Must be an active member of a Muslim community and demonstrate intimate knowledge of issues affecting British Muslim communities.
  • Must demonstrate long-term commitment to community and societal development within Britain.
  • Must show how the proposed course will increase their effectiveness in either Effective Advocacy and Enhancing Public Perception or Community Service and Social Development.
  • Must demonstrate financial need and Zakat eligibility – the scholarships are awarded as Zakat and applicants should self-assess using the Islamic Relief or NZF Zakat calculators.
  • Must be applying for a Masters degree at one of the Foundation’s Preferred Partner universities (courses must be in an eligible subject area).
  • Must be applying for a course commencing in the 2026–27 academic year (September onwards, or January 2026 entry).

Selection Criteria
