Funded by the Government of Ireland in partnership with Irish universities and managed by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), the programme awards 60 scholarships each year to outstanding candidates at NFQ Levels 9 or 10 — covering Master’s degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and PhDs. Through this initiative, the Government of Ireland continues its commitment to attracting global talent and building lasting international academic relationships.

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is the Irish state agency responsible for the strategic development of the country’s higher education and research system. Ireland is home to a diverse range of world-class universities and institutes of technology, offering internationally recognised qualifications across a wide range of disciplines. With a strong reputation for research, innovation, and a welcoming academic culture, Ireland continues to be an increasingly popular destination for international postgraduate students.
