This Teaching Assistant position at Bilingual Primary School is designed to support excellent learning and achievement for pupils across the primary age range (4–11). You will work closely with class teachers to assist in the delivery of the curriculum, helping pupils access learning both within whole-class contexts and in small group or one-to-one activities. This role provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to a bilingual school environment where half of the curriculum is delivered in Spanish and half in English, so a willingness to engage with and support language learning is essential. The successful candidate will help nurture pupils’ confidence, engagement, and independence in their learning, adapting support responsively to meet diverse needs.
In addition to classroom support, you will contribute to creating a positive, inclusive school culture rooted in collaboration and high expectations. Working as part of a committed team, your responsibilities will include supporting pupils’ social and emotional development, maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment, and participating in school activities and routines that enrich the educational experience. Strong teamwork skills, patience, initiative, and enthusiasm for working with children are key attributes for this role. Candidates with experience supporting primary-aged pupils particularly in bilingual or language-rich settings are especially welcome.
