Newcastle University Business School offers a suite of prestigious MBA scholarships for the 2026/27 academic year, designed to make the Full-time MBA programme more accessible to talented and driven professionals from diverse backgrounds around the world. There are four distinct awards available the Advancing Women in Leadership Scholarship, the Responsible Impact Scholarship, the Sustainable Leadership Scholarship, and the Developing Talent and Leadership Scholarship ranging from full-fee awards of £33,250 to partial-fee awards of up to £16,625.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for admission to the Full-time MBA programme at Newcastle University Business School for September 2026
- Must have substantive managerial experience of 3 years or more (applicants with significant career progression and relevant work experience above the minimum may also be considered even without a formal 2:1 equivalent degree)
- Must hold the equivalent of a UK 2:1 honours degree
- Must perform well at interview across all competency areas
- Must hold an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with no subskill below 6.0 (if English is not a first language)
- For the Advancing Women in Leadership Scholarship: must identify as female
- For the full-fee scholarships (Advancing Women in Leadership, Responsible Impact, Sustainable Leadership): must complete an online application form and submit an essay of no more than 1,500 words in response to the stated question — submissions must be in English
- For the Developing Talent and Leadership Scholarship: no separate application is required — all candidates are automatically assessed at the point of interview

Selection Criteria
Each of the four Newcastle MBA scholarships has a distinct focus area, but all share a common foundation they seek exceptional candidates who demonstrate a strong career trajectory, academic credibility, and clear leadership potential. For the full-fee scholarships, applicants are assessed through both a written essay and a structured interview, with the MBA Scholarship Committee evaluating performance across all competency areas including intellectual capability, professional experience, values alignment, and clarity of career purpose. The Advancing Women in Leadership Scholarship specifically looks for female candidates who show ambition, influence, and a strong drive to advance their careers through the MBA.
