The Loughborough University Global Impact Scholarship is a prestigious, fully funded tuition scholarship offering 100% off tuition fees for one year to exceptional international students from eligible developing countries who are starting a Master’s degree programme at Loughborough University in September 2026. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must currently hold a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible postgraduate taught Master’s programme at Loughborough University commencing September 2026
- Must be an international student currently domiciled (permanently living) in one of the eligible countries listed by Loughborough University Must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
- Must demonstrate a genuine commitment to contributing to the development of their home country after graduation
- Must have a full understanding of all costs involved in studying and living in the UK, and show strong motivation and initiative in securing funds to cover remaining living and travel expenses not covered by the scholarship
- Must be a high-calibre graduate with the personal, intellectual, and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership and driving sustainable change within communities

Selection Criteria
The Global Impact Scholarship selection process is a competitive, open-application process conducted in two stages by Loughborough University’s Global Engagement team and a senior selection panel. In the first stage, all submitted scholarship applications are screened and shortlisted based on the completeness of the application and the extent to which each candidate meets the core eligibility criteria in particular, the strength of their academic record, the credibility of their demonstrated commitment to development impact, and the quality of their motivation statement. Applicants are strongly advised to invest considerable care and effort in ensuring their application is well presented, clearly articulated, and genuinely reflective of their abilities, ambitions, and personal motivation the selection panel places significant weight on the overall quality and coherence of how the candidate presents themselves.
