Selection Criteria
The NUS scholarship selection process employs a holistic, merit-centred approach that equally weighs academic excellence, co-curricular achievements, character, and leadership potential, with candidates assessed on the overall strength of their undergraduate admission application. Academic performance is fundamental, with the selection committee thoroughly reviewing transcripts, grades, academic references, and supporting documents, and strong applicants typically rank among the very top of their cohort with consistently outstanding academic records and demonstrated intellectual curiosity extending well beyond their immediate field of study. Only applicants shortlisted for the selection interview will be informed via email, with interviews conducted between March and May 2026, and all interviewed candidates informed of scholarship outcomes by end of May 2026 for NUS Scholarships and end of July 2026 for all other scholarships.
