The Scottish Power Master Scholarship is one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious and fully funded industry-sponsored postgraduate scholarship programmes, offered by ScottishPower, part of the global energy giant Iberdrola, to develop a new generation of talented professionals capable of driving the transformation of the energy sector toward a clean, digital, and sustainable future. The scholarship covers full university tuition fees plus a monthly living allowance of £1,200 (totalling £14,400 per year), paid in GBP to UK-based students and subject to UK income tax, for the full duration of a one-year Master’s degree at any eligible UK university in engineering, data science, cyber security, telecoms, AI, or related fields. The programme is open to students at any UK university whose course aligns with Scottish Power’s priority knowledge areas, though the company maintains established partner relationships with a network of universities including the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, Cranfield University, and the University of Edinburgh, among others.
Scottish Power is one of the UK’s leading integrated energy companies and the first UK energy company to generate 100% of its energy from renewable sources, operating across energy networks, renewables, and retail as a subsidiary of Iberdrola, one of the world’s largest utilities companies. With a strong commitment to the clean energy transition and a significant ongoing investment programme in wind, solar, and grid infrastructure across the UK, Scottish Power is actively building the talent pipeline it needs to deliver its ambitious decarbonisation and digitalisation agenda, and the Master Scholarship programme is the cornerstone of its strategy for attracting and developing the engineers, data scientists, and technology specialists of tomorrow.
