The University of Dundee Vice-Chancellor’s Africa Undergraduate Scholarship is a generous multi-year tuition fee reduction award open exclusively to international students from African countries who are enrolling in a full-time, on-campus undergraduate programme at the University of Dundee in January 2027. The scholarship is valued at £6,500 in the entry year and £4,000 for each subsequent year of study for up to 5 years, with a maximum cumulative value of £22,500, making it one of the most financially substantial undergraduate scholarships the university offers to African students. Eligible programmes must carry tuition fees of £21,800 per year or above, with Medicine and Dentistry excluded, and applicants progressing through International College Dundee (ICD) are also eligible, with the scholarship applied upon their progression to the main University of Dundee degree.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

  • Must be a national of an eligible African country (as listed on the official scholarship page)
  • Must hold an offer for a full-time, on-campus undergraduate programme at the University of Dundee; Medicine and Dentistry are excluded
  • Programme tuition fee must be £21,800 per year or above
  • Must hold confirmed International Fee Status as determined by the University of Dundee and indicated in the offer letter
  • Applicants from International College Dundee (ICD) are eligible provided all above criteria are met, with the scholarship applied upon progression to the University of Dundee degree
  • Must be commencing studies in January 2027

Selection Criteria
