Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

  • Must hold a valid Bond University Letter of Offer for a PhD programme or the Professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy prior to submitting a scholarship application
  • Must be studying or intending to study a doctoral research degree at Bond University on a full-time basis
  • Must not be in receipt of an equivalent Commonwealth award or scholarship designed to offset HDR fees
  • Must submit a complete application including a research project proposal, official academic transcripts for all completed programmes, a CV or LinkedIn URL
  • Must submit proof of English language proficiency if English is not the applicant’s first language
  • All documents not in English must be accompanied by official English language translations in line with Bond University’s document translation requirements
  • Applicants who were unsuccessful in a previous Bond University Higher Degree Scholarship application may submit one additional application citing changed circumstances; those unsuccessful in a second application are ineligible for future rounds

Selection Criteria

The Australian Government RTP Scholarship at Bond University is awarded through a competitive, merit-based selection process administered biannually by the Bond University Higher Degree Research Scholarships Committee, which evaluates all complete applications based on academic achievement as evidenced by official transcripts, the quality and feasibility of the submitted research project proposal, research experience and outputs as detailed in the applicant’s CV including publications and conference presentations, and overall suitability for doctoral-level research; applications cannot be assessed until all required documents have been received, and prospective applicants are advised to allow 6 to 10 weeks for the admission application process to be completed before the scholarship round closes.
