The Kent International Scholarship is an automatic award of £5,000 offered by the University of Kent to eligible international students who accept their offer to study a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2026, with no separate application process required. The scholarship is applied directly to tuition fees and is guaranteed for all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria, making it a straightforward and accessible form of financial support for talented students from select countries across Asia and Africa. Students domiciled in eligible countries who are currently resident in the United Kingdom for purposes of study are also welcome to apply, and the award is not stackable with other scholarships unless the student is arriving through a progression agreement, in which case both the Kent International Scholarship and a progression discount may be awarded.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be domiciled in Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam
- Must have applied for a postgraduate taught full-time programme starting in September 2026 (excluding Kent Business School programmes, which have a separate scholarship)
- Must be assessed as a self-funded overseas fee payer paying fees directly to the University of Kent
- Must not have applied for a Master’s programme that includes an integrated pre-Master’s, distance learning programmes, PCert or PDip programmes, or MA Peace and Conflict Studies (International Joint Award)
- Must not be on short-term programmes or from partner institution Epitech

Selection Criteria
There is no competitive selection process for the Kent International Scholarship as it is awarded automatically to all eligible applicants who accept their offer to study at the University of Kent by the stated deadline of September 4, 2026 at 5pm BST, with eligibility determined solely by domicile country and programme type, and successful applicants contacted with a scholarship offer which they will need to formally accept.
