The Initiative of Excellence (IdEx) Université Grenoble Alpes is publishing its 2026-2027 Master Scholarship programme, open to international students who apply for one of the Master’s or Engineer degrees offered across the academic divisions of Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA). Eligible international students include those currently enrolled in a university outside France, those who have obtained their last degree at a foreign university, or those who obtained their Baccalauréat or equivalent at a foreign university even if they subsequently studied in France. Applicants may apply for the first or second year of a Master’s degree (M1 or M2) or the second or third year of an Engineer degree (Ingé 2A or Ingé 3A), with candidates selected on the basis of their academic records by the academic faculty in charge of the degrees they apply for.

Benefits of the Scholarship
This scholarship will provide the following to its recipients:
- €9,000 for a first year Master’s (M1) or second year Engineer degree (Ingé 2A) academic year covering 2 study semesters
- €5,500 for a second year Master’s (M2) or third year Engineer degree (Ingé 3A) academic year
- The scholarship is attributed for a one-year duration with the possibility to apply again for the second year of the programme

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be an international student currently enrolled in a university outside France, or who has obtained their last degree at a foreign university, or who has obtained their Baccalauréat or equivalent at a foreign university even if they subsequently studied in France
- Must apply for one of the eligible Master’s or Engineer degrees offered at one of the academic divisions of Université Grenoble Alpes for the 2026-2027 academic year
- May apply for the first or second year of a Master’s degree (M1 or M2) or the second or third year of an Engineer degree (Ingé 2A or Ingé 3A)
- Not all degrees give access to an IdEx scholarship; applicants should refer to the presentation of each degree for eligibility information

Selection Criteria
Candidates are selected on the basis of their academic records by the academic faculty in charge of the degrees they apply for, with the IdEx scholarship selection happening in most cases alongside the degree application process, after which the selection results are sent shortly after the admission committee has sat and information on being granted an IdEx Master Scholarship may be communicated after the degree selection result, with laureates required to apply again through their Faculty referent for the second year of the scholarship.
