The University of Leicester is proud to launch this new exciting scholarship that will support two fully funded postgraduate scholarships for courses starting in September 2025. Recipients will receive a return airfare, a full tuition fee waiver, a stipend to cover living costs and other allowances to fully support them to study with us here at the University of Leicester. 

Chevening Scholarships enable outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK. Whilst there is no ‘typical’ Chevening Scholar, we are looking for the kind of people who have the passion, ideas, and influence to provide the solutions and leadership needed to create a better future.

The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research degrees across various disciplines, including arts, sciences, business, law, and social sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be from Chevening eligible countries (excluding India)
  • Studying a one-year taught master’s course within the available colleges.
  • The College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities or the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment.
  • Be starting in September 2025.
  • Hold an undergraduate degree
