Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 2025/2026 International Undergraduate Scholarships at the UM–Dearborn, applicant must meet the following criteria:

Must be an international student admitted to the University of Michigan–Dearborn for undergraduate study.
Must have a strong academic record at the time of admission (minimum GPA requirement begins at 3.0 on a 4.0 scale).
Scholarship amounts are based on GPA at admission:
$12,500 per year – GPA of 4.0 (or equivalent).
$10,000 per year – GPA of 3.95 – 3.99.
$7,500 per year – GPA of 3.90 – 3.94.
$5,000 per year – GPA of 3.50 – 3.89.
$3,000 per year – GPA of 3.0 – 3.49.
Must enroll full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester).
Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 each year to renew the scholarship.
Must successfully complete at least 24 credit hours per academic year.
Freshmen are eligible to renew the scholarship for up to eight semesters (four years), while transfer students can renew for up to six semesters (three years).
