These scholarships are open to both home and international applicants and are designed for those with outstanding academic performance, typically a first-class undergraduate or distinction in a Master’s. Instead of a formal scholarship application, prospective students apply for a PhD programme via Imperial’s admissions portal, after which departments nominate outstanding applicants for consideration by a College Selection Panel.
