Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • No age limit
  • Be a citizen of the listed countries.
  • Hold a research Master Degree or equivalent diploma
  • Be enrolled in a doctoral program (any year) in France and/or a country of the global South.
  • Have Good level in French and English.
  • Be engaged in an IRD research program, with IRD-affiliated staff, in at least one of their host institutions.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be selected based on:

  • Scientific merit of the proposal: qualifications of the candidate, logic and coherence of his/her prior training, value of the proposed research
  • Closeness of the association with IRD: nature of the proposed collaboration, solidity of the personnel links
  • Contribution to the strengthening of research capacity in the South: existence of a research team in the field, degree of involvement of the candidate with the local team, degree of relevance to national priorities
