Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Have completed your first degree (e.g. Bachelor’s or Diplom) at the latest by the time the funding period begins.
  • You should have completed your degree with very good / excellent grades (above average academic performance)
  • You must not have been residing in Germany for more than 15 months by the application deadline.
  • You must provide proof of proficiency in the language in which your chosen master’s programme is taught
  • You must ensure that your chosen study programme/university is recognized (state or state-recognized university in Germany).

Selection Criteria

The DAAD selection process is carried out by an independent committee of experts who evaluate applications based on three main areas:
