Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Auburn University Graduate Assistantships, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in soil science, Hydrology, Environmental Science or a closely related field
- Proficiency in R or Python
- Have a valid US driver license
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Experience in Hydrological modelling
- Experience in machine learning and image processing in R
- Apply and be accepted to Auburn University Graduate School for a degree program
- Demonstrate strong academic performance
- Meet department-specific requirements for the chosen field of study
- For international students: Provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent)
- For international GTAs: Demonstrate English speaking proficiency (TOEFL iBT Speaking 23+, IELTS Speaking 7+, or iTEP Speaking 4.5+)
- Be able to commit to 13-20 hours of work per week depending on assistantship appointment
- Pass background check as required by Auburn University policy
