The Arbour Foundation PhD and DBA Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship program designed to provide financial support to rising stars pursuing doctoral degrees in Quebec, Canada. Through this scholarship program, recipients gain comprehensive financial support while studying at one of eleven prestigious partner universities in Quebec: Bishop’s University, Concordia University, École de technologie supérieure, HEC Montréal, Institut national de la recherche scientifique, McGill University, Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, Université du Québec à Montréal, and Université Laval. The Foundation also provides French language support, mentoring programs, and networking events to facilitate cultural integration and success in Quebec’s society and economy.

  • Disbursed in two equal installments ($15,000 in fall semester, $15,000 in winter semester).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled full-time in a doctoral (PhD or DBA) program at one of the partner universities.
  • Have completed at least 2 full-time semesters in a Quebec university in the past 12 months.
  • Have a university average grade of at least 75% (cumulative average of the last diploma obtained or of the last session(s) of the current diploma).
  • Have at least two full semesters remaining in the program at the time of first scholarship installment (one fall and one winter semester).
  • Be studying in Engineering, Computer Science, or Administration domains.

Selection Criteria

The Arbour Foundation evaluates candidates using the following weighted criteria:

Selection committees evaluate French skills during selection interviews.
