Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China.
  • Be in good health both mentally and physically.
  • For General Scholars: Be under 45 years of age.
  • For Senior Scholars: Be under 50 years of age.
  • Be registered as full-time student OR employed as full-time academic staff at a CSC foreign partner university by time of application and throughout proposed stay in China.
  • Your home university must be on the CSC Foreign University Partner List.
  • Have obtained admission qualification from a Chinese host university for the next intake.
  • Plan to study/conduct research in fields other than Chinese language study.
  • Start program no later than August 31, 2026.

Selection Criteria
