The program provides three levels of partial scholarships with around 20 new recipients selected annually. These awards are renewable for the full duration of study as long as students maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA each semester and full-time enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a newly admitted student to a full bachelor’s or master’s degree program at Webster Vienna
  • Have exceptional academic achievement and proven financial need
  • For Distinction Scholarship (Bachelor’s or Master’s): Have minimum 3.5 GPA on American 4.0 scale, minimum C1 English proficiency, significant financial need, and excellent essay and recommendations
  • For Merit Scholarship (Bachelor’s or Master’s): Have minimum 3.0 GPA on American 4.0 scale, minimum B2 English proficiency, significant financial need, and strong essay and recommendations
  • For Honors Scholarship (Bachelor’s or Master’s): Have minimum 3.0 GPA on American 4.0 scale, minimum B2 English proficiency, financial need, and good essay and recommendations
  • Have advanced or native-level proficiency in English
  • Demonstrate strong academic potential and commitment to studies
  • First apply and be admitted to degree program through Webster Vienna Admissions Office before applying for scholarship

Selection Criteria

Webster Vienna uses a structured, merit-based selection process that evaluates applicants across several key areas, including academic performance, English proficiency, financial need, personal qualities, and referee support. Candidates must demonstrate strong academic achievement with at least a 3.0 GPA for general eligibility and a 3.5 GPA for Distinction-level consideration. English proficiency is assessed based on program requirements, with B2 minimums for Merit and Honors scholarships and C1 for Distinction. Applicants must also provide verified financial documents to show general need for Honors or more significant need for Merit and Distinction levels.
