The International Creative Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship acknowledges creative excellence and strength of creative vision to support international students enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree with the College of Creative Arts Massey University.

Benefits of The Scholarship
The value of the scholarship is up to NZ$10,000 towards the tuition fee. This fund can also be used by the students to cover:
- Houising
- Health care
- Food
- Books
- Transportation cost
Eligibility Criteria/Conditions of the Scholarship
Applicants must be:
- Students must have received an Admission Offer of Place into a full-time undergraduate degree within the College of Creative Arts commencing in 2025.
- Applicants must be international students.
- This fee scholarship is not open to Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand.
- Applicants must not have already started a degree at Massey University at the time of application for the award.
- Applicants who are already enrolled in a Massey University partner institution’s articulation programme are not eligible for this award.
- The scholarship may be held in conjunction with other scholarships, bursaries or awards, so long as those scholarships, bursaries or awards permit co-tenure.
- Fee scholarships are not transferable or deferrable. They are valid only for use by scholarship winners in the academic year for which they have been awarded. If awarded, the fee scholarship will be paid into the student’s Massey Account after the census date (last date of withdrawal without financial penalty).
- Should the applicant withdraw from study in the first year, the scholarship will be withheld from any refunds.
College of Creative Arts Eligible degrees are:
- Bachelor of Commercial Music
- Bachelor of Design with Honours
- Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours
- Bachelor of Screen Arts with Honours
Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on the submission of a portfolio of creative work, accompanied by a short statement of creative purpose. Consideration of personal characteristics including country of residence, will be given to ensure equitable awarding.
