For Undergraduate:
- The value of this Scholarship is $5,000 – $9,000 yearly.
For Masters:
- The value of this Scholarship is $5,000 yearly.
For Doctoral:
- The value of this Scholarship is $9,000 yearly.
These funds can be used to towards the following student costs:
- Accommodation
- Living costs
- Fees
- Medical Aid
- Books/Stationery

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be admitted to ETSU as a degree-seeking student.
- Have, or plan to have, a visa that allows for a full-time course of study.
- Have earned a 3.0 GPA or higher in previous coursework
- Freshman Applicants – 3.0 GPA in High School
- Transfer Applicants – 3.0 GPA in previous university coursework
- Graduate Applicants – 3.0 GPA in undergraduate coursework.
Students ineligible for International Merit Scholarships:
- Second Bachelor’s Degree Applicants if previous degree was granted by ETSU.
- Students paying in-state or E-Rate tuition.
- Studying applying for the M.D. or PharmD. programs

Selection Criteria
All new, degree-seeking international students admitted to ETSU are automatically evaluated based on their academic performance, particularly their GPA from previous studies (high school for freshmen, prior university coursework for transfers, or undergraduate GPA for graduate applicants). This GPA determines their scholarship eligibility and award tier, with no separate application required.
