Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is a specialist graduate research university in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, devoted entirely to advancing artificial intelligence. Established in 2019 as part of the UAE’s AI 2031 strategy, it is the world’s first graduate-level university focused solely on emerging AI fields such as computer vision, machine learning, robotics, natural language processing, computational biology, and related areas. Regarding its scholarships, MBZUAI offers fully funded awards to all full-time admitted students in its graduate programs (Master’s and PhD). This includes 100% tuition coverage, on-campus accommodation, health insurance, UAE visa sponsorship for international students, and a generous monthly stipend. For instance, international and UAE resident Master’s students receive AED 8,000 per month, while PhD students receive AED 10,000 per month; financial allowances are even higher for UAE nationals. These scholarships are designed to attract top talent globally and ensure students can focus on their research and academic growth without financial barriers.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a degree in a STEM field such as computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or other relevant science or engineering majors from an accredited university or college recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE).
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 3.5 (on a scale of 4.0) depending on the program.
- Senior-level students can apply initially with a copy of their transcript and upon admission must submit official complete degree certificate/transcript.
- A degree attestation (for degrees from the UAE) or a Certificate of Recognition (for degrees acquired outside the UAE) should also be furnished within their first semester at the university.
