Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold qualifications or professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree for Masters + PhD awards, or a Masters degree for PhD-only awards.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance and research potential in your chosen field.
- Be registered at one of the 8 SENSS partner universities
- Ensure your research project aligns with one of the 6 SENSS interdisciplinary themes.
- Meet international eligibility requirements if applicable
- Not have already completed a substantial proportion of your PhD studies (if applying mid-PhD).

Selection Criteria
The SENSS selection process is carried out by an independent committee of experts who evaluate applications based on three main areas:
- Academic qualifications and research background (including previous achievements, qualifications, academic performance, relevant professional experience, and demonstrated research capabilities).
- The quality and feasibility of the proposed research project (including research design, alignment with SENSS themes, choice of university and supervisor, and how it contributes to your career path and research goals).
- The applicant’s research potential (motivation, intellectual curiosity, research vision, career aspirations, and commitment to advanced research).
