Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the AUB MasterCard Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:

Be an African citizen
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent secondary school qualification
Demonstrate strong academic performance with excellent grades in secondary school
Show demonstrated financial need and limited financial capacity to pursue higher education without scholarship support
Exhibit leadership potential and commitment to making a difference in their community
Have a track record of community service or volunteer activities
Commit to attend all additional learning experiences and workshops required by the Scholars Program beyond regular coursework
Show evidence of civic engagement and extracurricular activities in secondary school
Meet AUB’s undergraduate admission requirements for chosen field of study
Have a clear vision for how the education will enable them to contribute to positive change in Africa
Apply through designated AUB partner organizations in their African country
