The 2026/2027 Eni MEDEA Master’s in Management and Economics of Energy and the Environment is one of Italy’s most prestigious and long-standing postgraduate training programmes in the energy sector. Founded by Scuola Mattei — established in 1957 by Eni’s legendary founder Enrico Mattei — the MEDEA programme has been shaping energy sector professionals for over six decades. Organised in collaboration with the University of Pavia, the 10-month fully funded programme is delivered entirely in English at Eni Corporate University in San Donato Milanese. Eni offers a number of fully funded scholarships each year, covering all programme costs worth €50,000, plus a monthly stipend of €1,500 gross.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Italian candidates must hold an Italian university degree with a final grade of not less than 105/110 (or 95/100) in Economics or Engineering, or an equivalent foreign qualification
- Must be under 28 years of age by 31 December of the year the programme begins
- Non-Italian candidates must hold a university degree from a recognised institution in one of the following fields: economics, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, statistics, law, political science, or international relations
- Must be under 32 years of age by 31 December of the year the programme begins
- All candidates must have an excellent knowledge of the English language
- Full-time attendance is required throughout the 10-month programme
- Applicants must complete two separate application steps: first, the University of Pavia online application form with all required documents; and second, registration on the Eni Jobs portal

Selection Criteria
Qualified students for the 2026/2027 Eni MEDEA Master’s scholarship will be selected based on university qualifications, other professional qualifications and experience, and overall academic and professional merit. Academic or professional experience in the energy sector will be given appropriate consideration. Individuals independently selected by Eni’s foreign companies may also be enrolled on the programme.
