The University of Huddersfield offers a range of financial support opportunities for international students, with the merit-based international scholarship being the primary and most widely available award open to new international students joining the university for the 2026/27 academic year. The scholarship provides up to £4,000 per year toward tuition fees for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, awarded automatically on the basis of academic achievement with no separate scholarship application required. Eligible students are notified in their offer letter whether they have been awarded the scholarship, and the discount is applied directly against tuition fees for every year of the enrolled course, excluding any placement year. The scholarship cannot be combined with any other university or external scholarship.

The University of Huddersfield is one of the United Kingdom’s most distinctive and highly regarded teaching-led universities, ranked number one among mainstream UK universities for the proportion of teaching staff holding higher degrees and teaching qualifications, and consistently praised for its exceptional graduate employability outcomes, with a graduate employment and further study rate of over 96% in recent years. Founded in 1825 and located in the vibrant town of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, the university welcomes over 4,000 international students from more than 100 countries and offers over 200 courses across a wide range of disciplines including engineering, computing, business, health sciences, humanities, law, education, and the arts.
