Benefits of the Scholarship

This scholarship will provide the following to its recipients:

  • International English Admission Scholarship: CAD $15,000 per year (up to CAD $60,000 over 4 years), awarded automatically upon full-time enrolment, no separate application required
  • International English Academic Excellence Scholarship: CAD $7,500 per term (up to CAD $60,000 total), for top international students with admission average of 90% or above
  • Master’s Admission Scholarship: up to CAD $7,500 per term, awarded by individual faculties

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

  • Must be an international student with a valid Canadian study permit paying international tuition fees; students paying domestic fees are not eligible
  • Must be newly admitted for Winter 2026 intake or later in an approved English-language undergraduate programme in one of the eligible faculties: Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, or the Telfer School of Management
  • For the International English Admission Scholarship: must have a minimum admission average of 80% and be enrolled full-time; must not be enrolled in the French immersion stream
  • For the International English Academic Excellence Scholarship: must have a minimum admission average of 90% or above
  • Many scholarships are automatic and require no separate application; eligible students are notified at the time of their admission or upon full-time enrolment
  • Scholarships requiring separate applications must be submitted through the uoZone online portal by the stated deadlines
  • Scholarship renewability is subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress as specified in the terms of each individual award
  • Students applying for need-based bursaries must submit the relevant application form and supporting financial documentation through uoZone
