Al Qasimia University offers fully funded scholarships to outstanding international students from across the globe who wish to pursue undergraduate or Master’s degree programmes in Sharjah, UAE, combining high-quality academic education with Islamic values and a richly multicultural campus environment. Established in 2013 under Royal Decree by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, the scholarship programme is one of the most comprehensive international student funding packages available in the Middle East, covering full tuition fees, free on-campus accommodation for single students, a monthly stipend, health insurance, round-trip airfare after completing 50% of the study plan, free campus transportation, visa and residency processing, and a one-way return ticket to the home country upon graduation.
Al Qasimia University is located in Sharjah’s University City, a UNESCO-designated Cultural Capital of the Arab World, and is distinguished by its blend of Islamic architecture, modern educational facilities, and a curriculum that seamlessly integrates Islamic studies with contemporary academic disciplines across law, economics, communication, humanities, and Quranic sciences. The university’s diverse and internationally representative student body, drawn from more than 75 nationalities, creates a uniquely enriching academic environment that fosters cross-cultural understanding and global awareness. With instruction primarily in Arabic and selected programmes offered in English, the university provides a structured academic environment with close faculty supervision, dedicated student welfare services, and strong support for cultural events and career preparedness. Non-Arabic speakers are required to successfully complete an intensive Arabic Language Programme within one academic year before being assigned to their chosen specialisation.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be an international student from outside the UAE
- Must hold a recognised secondary school certificate with grades from Classes 10, 11, and 12 (undergraduate) or a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s programmes)
- Must have obtained the high school diploma within the last two years (undergraduate applicants)
- Must be between 16 and 20 years of age at the time of enrollment (undergraduate applicants)
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent; applicants with slightly lower GPA may be considered for conditional admission
- Must not have been previously dismissed from Al Qasimia University or any other institution for disciplinary or academic reasons
- All certificates must be attested by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the home country, and the UAE embassy in the home country (or an Arab embassy if no UAE embassy is present)
- All foreign certificates must be legally translated into Arabic or English with official attestation
- Must submit a document from the Ministry of Education of the home country confirming the school is recognised and graduates may enrol in public universities
- Must enroll each semester and maintain a minimum semester and cumulative GPA of 2.00 to retain the scholarship
- Must dedicate themselves fully to studies; employment during the scholarship period is strictly prohibited
- Non-Arabic speakers must successfully complete the Intensive Arabic Language Programme within one academic year before being assigned to their specialisation
- For programmes in Economics or Communication: TOEFL, IELTS, or EMSAT language proficiency scores may be required

The admissions team first screens all submitted applications for completeness and basic eligibility, with incomplete or incorrectly submitted applications excluded from consideration, after which the selection committee evaluates academic transcripts and secondary school grades, language proficiency scores where applicable, and the authenticity of all submitted certificates and attestations.
