The Excellence Program and Scholarships at Albanian University is a merit-based financial support initiative designed to attract and reward the highest-performing students across all of the university’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with the dual aim of promoting academic excellence and enhancing the overall quality of teaching and learning at the institution. The programme operates three distinct levels of financial support: the Excellence Scholarship, which provides a full tuition fee waiver to the most exceptional students, and two discount scholarship levels offering 50% and 30% reductions in tuition fees, awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding but slightly lower levels of academic achievement. Over the years, the programme has consistently rewarded dozens of students each academic year across all three levels, with the 2021/2022 academic year seeing 1 Excellence Scholarship, 2 students awarded 50% discounts, and 35 students receiving 30% discounts.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be a student applying to or enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at Albanian University in Tirana
- Must demonstrate outstanding academic excellence as assessed through high school academic results (for new students) or university academic performance (for continuing students)
- Excellence Scholarship: reserved for the highest-performing applicants and enrolled students with exceptional academic records, typically achieving the top results in their cohort
- 50% discount scholarship: awarded to students with very strong academic records, ranking among the top performers within their application or enrolment cohort
- 30% discount scholarship: awarded to students with strong academic performance who meet the university’s merit threshold for this level of financial support
- Must maintain required academic standards throughout the academic year to retain the scholarship in subsequent years
