The University of Auckland Faculty of Engineering and Design BE(Hons) Award is an annual award offering up to five grants of NZ$1,000 each to first-year students enrolled in Part I of a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) or a BE(Hons) conjoint degree at the University of Auckland, Waipapa Taumata Rau. Open to both domestic and international students, the award is offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Design to assist high-achieving first-year engineering students with their study costs and to recognise exceptional academic potential at the commencement of their undergraduate engineering journey. Applications open approximately six weeks before the annual closing date, and applicants are strongly advised to read the official regulations carefully before applying to confirm their eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be enrolled in Part I of a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) or a BE(Hons) conjoint degree at the University of Auckland
- Open to both domestic and international students

Selection Criteria
The University of Auckland Faculty of Engineering and Design BE(Hons) Award is awarded annually to up to five first-year BE(Hons) or BE(Hons) conjoint students through a competitive review process conducted by the Faculty of Engineering and Design, with selection based on the overall academic merit and achievement of each applicant at the time of entry into the programme, as evidenced through prior academic qualifications and performance; applicants are strongly encouraged to review the official regulations carefully before applying and to submit their application within the designated window that opens approximately six weeks before the annual closing date.
