Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) offers partial and full tuition fee waivers to international students with outstanding academic results as part of its commitment to attracting high-achieving students from around the world. Open to all international applicants, the scholarship is automatically considered for all prospective students who submit their application through the University’s official online application system, making it accessible and straightforward for candidates across all eligible programmes. More than 50 English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programmes are available across a wide range of study fields, from engineering and technology to business, informatics, architecture, and social sciences, with studies commencing in September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

Must be an international student applying to a bachelor’s or master’s programme at Kaunas University of Technology
Must have a strong academic record and demonstrate motivation
For bachelor’s studies: must have completed secondary education with a minimum average grade (CGPA) of above 60% in each entry subject
If English is not the applicant’s native language, must demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum of CEFR B2, IELTS 5.5, or TOEFL iBT 75 obtained within the last two years
Must submit the application through the University’s online application system at apply.ktu.edu by June 1, 2026
EU and EEA citizens may be eligible for state-funded study places based on their entrance competition score
Citizens of certain countries may also be eligible for Lithuanian state scholarships for master’s degree studies

Selection Criteria

All eligible and complete applications submitted through the University’s online application system are assessed by experts, with the final decision on granting the tuition fee waiver based on the arithmetic average of academic grades, which accounts for 50% of the assessment, alongside the applicant’s overall academic record and motivation, with scholarship results announced after the application period closes and all applications have been reviewed and evaluated.
