The Glendon Chase McCormick Scholarship is an in-program award offered annually at Dalhousie University to Masters and PhD students studying in any discipline. The scholarship was established in honour of Dr. Glendon Chase McCormick, a Nova Scotia-born physicist who completed his undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University in 1935 and went on to earn a PhD in physics from McGill University. Dr. McCormick had a distinguished career at the National Research Council in Ottawa, where he specialised in electro-magnetic antennae and became a pioneer in weather detection using radar. The scholarship honours his legacy by supporting graduate students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. A minimum of two scholarships valued at $4,000 each are awarded at every competition, and the award is not renewable.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be enrolled in a graduate Masters or Doctoral program in any discipline
- First-class academic standing in the most recent two years prior to the year of application is required (GPA 3.7/4.3)

Selection Criteria
