The Kevin Strain International Entrance Scholarship is offered annually by the University of Waterloo to one outstanding international undergraduate student entering Year One of any program in the School of Accounting and Finance. The scholarship is valued at $15,000 over two academic years, with recipients receiving $3,750 per term from 1A to 2B, provided they remain studying on an international student visa. Selection is based on academic excellence with a minimum admission average of 80%, and no application is required as eligible students are automatically considered at the time of admission. This fund was made possible by a generous donation from alumnus Kevin Strain, who graduated with a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo in 1990.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be an international undergraduate student entering Year One of any program in the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo
- Must be studying on an international student visa and must remain on an international student visa throughout the duration of the award
- Must have a minimum admission average of 80%
- Eligible programs include Accounting and Financial Management, Sustainability and Financial Management, Computing and Financial Management, Mathematics/Chartered Professional Accountancy and Science and Financial Management
