The La Trobe University Vice Chancellor Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship offered by La Trobe University, designed to recognise and support exceptional international students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities, sports, and community engagement. The scholarship provides a reduction of either 50% or 100% off the total course tuition fees, applied as a discount for each subject undertaken throughout the full duration of the recipient’s course. Unlike automatic scholarships, applicants are required to submit a formal application and must already be in receipt of an offer letter from the university before being considered. Recipients are selected based on outstanding academic performance (minimum WAM of 80), English language proficiency, and a written statement of no more than 250 words.

La Trobe University is a leading public research university in Australia, founded in 1967 and headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria, with campuses across Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Mildura, and Shepparton. The university is globally recognised for its strength in science, technology, engineering, health, and humanities, and is particularly noted for its leadership in artificial intelligence, data science, and sustainability research. Through the Vice Chancellor Scholarship, recipients become part of a vibrant, innovative, and globally connected university community, and are welcomed into the La Trobe University student ambassador program, where they develop the leadership skills and professional networks needed to shape the future in their chosen fields.
