Canadian University Dubai (CUD) offers a range of scholarships to support students pursuing a quality Canadian education, ensuring that financial limitations or special needs do not stand in the way of enrollment, while also rewarding high academic achievers. CUD’s scholarship offerings include the Academic Excellence Scholarship, Schools MoU Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Financial Hardship Scholarship, Special Needs Scholarship, Special Talent Scholarship, and the Study Scholarship. Scholarships are awarded to full-time students enrolled in four or more academic courses per semester, are not valid for summer semesters (apart from the Study Scholarship), and apply only to current tuition fees and credit-bearing courses.

Canadian University Dubai is a duly licensed and accredited higher education institution under the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with its sole legal and physical campus located at City Walk, Dubai. CUD offers undergraduate and graduate programmes across fields such as Architecture, Business Management, Communication, Engineering, Public Health, Psychology, Interior Design, Social Sciences, and Creative Industries, with all admission, registration, and official communications conducted exclusively through its directly authorized channels.

Benefits of the Programme

This programme will provide the following to its recipients:

Academic Excellence Scholarship: Up to 50% tuition fee waivers
Schools MoU Scholarship: a 20% tuition scholarship for recent graduates of CUD’s partner schools, plus a 15% tuition benefit for school staff and their immediate family members
Sports Scholarship: a tuition waiver of up to 40%, based on sports achievement level and academic performance
Financial Hardship Scholarship: a tuition waiver of up to 40%, evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Special Needs Scholarship: a tuition reduction of up to 40%
Special Talent Scholarship: a tuition waiver of up to 40%, based on achievement level and academic performance
Study Scholarship: a 10% tuition fee reduction for the Summer 2025-26 and Fall 2026-27 semesters, combinable with other applicable fee reductions (capped at 30% in Summer 2025-26 and 60% in Fall 2026-27)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following:

Must be a student of any citizenship who has met all of CUD’s admission requirements
Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a minimum of four academic courses (or 12 credit hours) per semester, with case-by-case consideration for Financial Hardship and Special Needs applicants
Must maintain the minimum CGPA specified for the relevant scholarship type to continue receiving funding (e.g., 3.0 for Sports and Special Talent, 2.8 for Financial Hardship, 2.0 for Special Needs)
High school applicants must meet the minimum academic achievement specified for the relevant scholarship (e.g., 70% for Sports and Special Talent, 75% for Financial Hardship)
Must submit a completed application form with all required supporting documentation by the relevant deadline (e.g., coach/PE teacher references for Sports; rental contract, bank statements, and salary certificates for Financial Hardship; a professionally documented diagnosis for Special Needs; achievement certificates and recommendations for Special Talent)
Scholarship is not combinable with any other scholarship, discount, or fee reduction, except as specifically stated for the Study Scholarship

Selection Criteria

Applications are reviewed by CUD’s scholarship committee against the specific eligibility requirements and minimum selection criteria outlined for each scholarship category, with the awarded amount depending on those criteria. Late or incomplete scholarship applications will not be considered. The decision of the University regarding whether to grant a scholarship, and the percentage or amount of any reduction assigned, is final and may not be appealed by the applicant.
