Selection Criteria

For the Vice-Chancellor International Excellence Scholarship, eligible applicants with an unconditional offer are assessed through a series of shortlisting processes, including review by Charles Sturt Global Engagement staff. Applications from main campuses and metropolitan campuses (Sydney and Melbourne) are assessed separately in two distinct pools using the same criteria. A final panel of senior Charles Sturt staff selects the awardees from the final shortlist. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 80% entry score), the quality and depth of three essay responses covering personal statement, community involvement, and alignment with Charles Sturt values, and supporting documentation of community engagement.
