The Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council Entrance Scholarship is offered annually by the University of Waterloo to one or more outstanding full-time undergraduate students entering Year One of any program in the Faculty of Engineering. Each scholarship is valued at $20,000 and is made possible by a donation from the Faculty of Engineering’s Dean’s Advisory Council, which consists of esteemed alumni, friends and industry leaders who provide input and guidance towards the Faculty’s priorities and future strategic directions. No application is required as eligible students are automatically considered at the time of admission. The scholarship is open to both Canadian and international students and covers all undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be entering Year One of any full-time undergraduate program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo
- Eligible programs include Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Nanotechnology Engineering, Systems Design Engineering and Software Engineering
- Open to Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents and International Students
