The ifa RAVE Scholarship — formally known as the Scholarship on the Management of Cultural Heritage and the Transformation of Museums and Exhibition Centres  is funded by the Alexander Rave Foundation and administered by the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa). The programme enables cultural practitioners from countries on the DAC list to undertake a three to six-month professional stay at a German host institution. The purpose is to allow scholarship holders to deepen their professional knowledge transnationally, introduce new perspectives, and build long-term cooperation through exchange. The scholarship strengthens ifa’s contribution to creating worldwide interpersonal understanding and trust and to promoting democratic civil societies.

The Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) is Germany’s oldest intermediary organisation for international cultural relations, founded in 1917 and headquartered in Stuttgart. ifa promotes peaceful and enriching coexistence between cultures through art, educational, and civil society exchange programmes. It operates worldwide through exhibitions, dialogue programmes, publications, and scholarship schemes, working closely with the German Federal Foreign Office and other partners.
