The Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship is a prestigious provincial-level scholarship offered by the Jiangxi Provincial Government to support international students and scholars studying at accredited higher education institutions in Jiangxi Province, China. At Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST), the scholarship is administered through the School of International Education (SIE) and is open to both overseas applicants and current international students. The scholarship is categorised into three tiers based on the level of study: Category A for excellent doctoral and master’s students, Category B for excellent bachelor’s degree students, and Category C for excellent general scholars on programmes of six months or above.

Benefits of the Programme
The scholarship is primarily a financial award, with the amount depending on your study level:
- Category A – RMB 25,000 per year: Master’s and PhD students
- Category B – RMB 20,000 per year: Bachelor’s degree students
- Category C – RMB 6,000 per year: General/visiting scholars studying for at least six months
The scholarship funds may be used to cover:
- Tuition and registration fees
- Accommodation fees
- Basic learning materials/textbooks
- Internship-related fees
- Comprehensive medical insurance

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be an overseas applicant or a current international student at a higher education institution in Jiangxi Province, China
- Must be enrolled in, or applying to enrol in, one of the following programme types at JXUST: doctorate degree, master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or general scholar programme of six months or above
- Must demonstrate excellent academic performance to qualify for the scholarship

Selection Criteria
The Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship is awarded to excellent international students and scholars based on academic merit. Applications are submitted directly to the School of International Education at JXUST, which reviews and processes all applications in accordance with Jiangxi Provincial Government scholarship guidelines. Selection favours students with strong academic records and demonstrated commitment to their studies. Both overseas applicants and current international students at JXUST are eligible to apply, and the scholarship is available across all three degree levels and the general scholar category.
