The Goodnight Scholars Program is a merit and need-based scholarship offered annually to prospective first-year students at NC State University who are passionate about STEM. In mid-December, the Goodnight Scholarships office issues approximately 1,600 invitations to apply to eligible students who have applied for Fall admission. The invitation is sent to the email address listed on the student’s general NC State application, and the application is accessible via Pack ASSIST. Applications focus on academic achievement, extracurricular and community involvement, and understanding of the role STEM fields play in addressing key societal and global issues. Finalists are invited to a Finalist Interview Day, after which recipients are selected and notified in early March.
