The Moroccan Scholarship Programme, offered by the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco through its Academic Cooperation Programme with the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), invites applications from suitably qualified Saint Lucian candidates wishing to pursue studies at Moroccan public universities, higher institutions, and vocational training centres. Twenty (20) full scholarships are being offered for the 2026-2027 academic year, up to the Doctoral level. French is the language of instruction at most training institutions, and successful applicants will be required to take French language courses at the International Language Centre in Rabat before enrolling in their assigned field of study; Arabic Language and Literature and Islamic Studies are taught in Arabic, while Legal Sciences is taught in either Arabic or French.

AMCI, the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, manages Morocco’s cooperation grants and oversees placement, registration, and welfare of foreign students and trainees in the country on behalf of Morocco’s Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research. The programme is administered locally by Saint Lucia’s Department of Education and Digital Transformation, which receives and processes applications from interested Saint Lucian candidates before they are forwarded to AMCI through diplomatic channels.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following:

  • Undergraduate applicants must be between 19 and 23 years old, hold a CAPE/Associate degree obtained in 2025 or 2026 with Grade A or B , and have maintained a good academic record during the last two semesters of study, in fields such as Medicine, Paramedical Sciences, Business and Management, Engineering and Technology, Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, or Architecture
  • Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in the requested programme of study with 1st class or 2nd class results, or a recognized equivalent diploma, with a good academic record
  • PhD applicants must hold a graduate degree in the requested programme of study, or an equivalent recognized higher education diploma, qualifying them for the course applied to
  • Master’s and PhD applicants must state their preferred programme and university of choice at the time of application
  • Applicants for the Arabic Language and Literature or Islamic Studies programmes must be fluent in Arabic; most other programmes require some level of mastery of French
  • Must submit a complete application package, including CAPE/Associate Degree transcripts, tertiary level transcript, birth certificate, national identification card, passport bio-data page, a police record, and a medical certificate confirming physical and mental fitness, vaccination status, and absence of contagious or acute disease

Selection Criteria

Placement of candidates in a chosen programme of study is conditional upon acceptance of the application package, priority of study options, and area of study. For undergraduate applicants, selection is processed according to the requirements of the training institution, the area of study, available space, and the academic qualifications of the applicant. For Master’s and PhD applicants, completed applications meeting the general admission requirements are submitted to the scientific committees of the relevant Moroccan universities for processing. In certain cases, final enrolment is conditional upon presentation of a certificate of equivalence for diplomas obtained outside Morocco.
