The Schwarzman Scholars Program is a fully funded, one-year Master’s degree and leadership programme at Tsinghua University in Beijing, designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders by deepening their understanding of China’s role in global affairs. Scholars pursue a core curriculum focused on one of three concentrations Public Policy, Economics and Business, or International Studies with all classes conducted in English. Beyond coursework, the programme offers extensive leadership development, mentorship, guest lectures, and cultural immersion opportunities, including site visits and an in-country study tour across China.

Schwarzman Scholars was founded by Stephen A. Schwarzman in 2016 and represents one of the largest philanthropic efforts ever undertaken in China by largely international donors. Scholars live and study together at Schwarzman College on the Tsinghua University campus, joining a global community of leaders across cultures and industries. Applicants holding passports or permanent resident cards from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan apply on a separate timeline (typically January to May) through the Schwarzman Scholars China application track.
