Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following:

Must be enrolled at Sapienza Università di Roma in an eligible degree programme
Regional Scholarships (DISCO Lazio): must meet special income and merit requirements as specified in the annual DISCO Lazio call; generally available between May and July each year; applications submitted at www.laziodisco.it
Student-Collaboration Scholarships: must be enrolled in a year following the first year of their degree programme
International Thesis Scholarships: must be enrolled in a Sapienza degree programme and intend to carry out dissertation research abroad
International Post-degree Scholarships: must hold a Sapienza Master’s degree (two-year course), single-cycle degree, or old-system degree
Polo Universitario Interateneo di Rieti Scholarships: must be enrolled in a degree programme at Sapienza’s Rieti campus; separate calls exist for international students, health professions, and economics and engineering students

Grants for Foreign and Italian Citizens Living Abroad (Italian Government): must meet the eligibility requirements set by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Selection Criteria

Each scholarship category has its own selection criteria and process. Regional Scholarships are awarded by DISCO Lazio based on income and merit as verified against the annual call requirements. Student-Collaboration Scholarships are allocated competitively among eligible enrolled students. The Worthy Students Scholarship is awarded based on demonstrated outstanding academic merit. The International Post-degree Scholarship and International Thesis Scholarship are assessed based on academic merit and the quality of the proposed research or study abroad project. The #100ragazzeSTEM scholarship is awarded to outstanding women in STEM on the basis of academic merit and achievement.
