The TU Berlin Scholarships and Funding for International Students programme encompasses a wide range of scholarship and funding opportunities available to international degree-seeking students at the Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin). Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following:

Deutschlandstipendium:

Must be enrolled at or applying to TU Berlin
Must have achieved excellent academic results, or as a first-year student, must have obtained very good school-leaving qualifications
Must have at least two semesters remaining within the standard period of study at the start of the scholarship
Open to all nationalities
Most scholarships are earmarked for a specific degree programme or subject area — check the current earmarking list before applying

DAAD Prize:

Must be an international student currently enrolled at TU Berlin
Must have distinguished themselves through exceptional academic achievements and remarkable social and intercultural commitment

STIBET I Scholarships:

Must be an international student enrolled at TU Berlin facing significant financial and social challenges (e.g. refugees, students with disabilities, chronic illness, or caregiving responsibilities)

Otto Benecke Stiftung Scholarship:

Must have been granted asylum or be a quota refugee
Must be under 30 years of age
Must wish to take up or continue university studies

DAAD EPOS Scholarship:

Must be a citizen and permanent resident of an eligible developing or emerging country
Must be applying to the M.Sc. in Urban Management at TU Berlin

Selection Criteria

Each scholarship at TU Berlin has its own selection process. For the Deutschlandstipendium, selection takes into account both excellent academic performance and personal circumstances, and the majority of scholarships are earmarked for specific degree programmes or subject areas. The Career Service manages the Deutschlandstipendium selection at TU Berlin. The DAAD Prize is awarded by the International Office based on nominations considering academic excellence and social/intercultural commitment. STIBET I scholarships are assessed by the International Degree-Seeking Students Team based on documented financial and social need. Foundation scholarships (Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Otto Benecke Stiftung) are administered directly by the respective foundations through their own independent application and selection processes.
